UK Chart: Call Of Duty reclaims top spot, Pokemon enjoys best ever UK launch

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare returned to the top of the UK charts this week following a frantic Black Friday weekend. According to Chart-Track, this was mainly due to the past-gen versions of the game being discounted in Black Friday sales, with 67% of COD sales this week on Xbox 360 or PS3. GfK/Chart-Track Top 10 (previous week) 01. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Activision) 02. FIFA 15 (EA) 03. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar) 04. Far Cry 4 (Ubisoft) 05. Assassin's Creed Unity (Ubisoft) 06. Pokemon Omega Ruby (Nintendo) 07. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (Nintendo) 08. DriveClub (Sony) 09. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Ubisoft) 10. Assassin's Creed Rogue Review - Gaming Nexus

Added: 01.12.2014 16:11 | 16 views | 0 comments

From the review: "Rogue is a good chapter in the Assassin's Creed body of work. Good but not great. Nor is it definitive. Without multiplayer, it's not even a standalone product as far as the series is concerned. But the story of institutional betrayal, severed friendships, and broken mentors is a worthy tale. If you only play one nautically heavy Assassin's Creed, however, play Black Flag instead."

Xbox One + Assassin's Creed Unity + AC: Black Flag + 2nd Controller £299.99

Added: 30.11.2014 16:11 | 19 views | 0 comments

Dealspwn writes: This killer Xbox One console bundle shows Black Friday is hanging on long into the weekend. £299.99 gets you an Xbox One console, Assassin's Creed Unity, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and a 2nd controller in addition to the one bundled in the box. It's worth noting that thew two Assassin's titles are both download codes and they're going to be fairly hefty. We have to be honest, we've not been impressed with Assassin's Creed Unity, it's been a buggy mess both playing solo or when attempting to get the co-op working. It's been aggressively patched since launch, but there's no getting around some issues like the borked combat system, the overly armed enemies, or just the disappointing boredom that is Paris. You could always sell the download code. Don't sell Black Flag though, that one's a keeper!

Game Review: Assassins Creed Rogue | Asidcast

Added: 28.11.2014 4:14 | 12 views | 0 comments

Assassins Creed: Rogue got released on the same day as Assassins Creed: Unity and it was obvious right from the start that it was going to play second fiddle to Unity. Gameplay mechanics is exactly as same as AC:Black Flag with a few minor changes and additions, it can be said that developers Ubisoft simply copy-pasted Black Flags formula. This game was supposed to be a throwaway but instead it triumphed over its counterpart with its unique Assassin turned Templar storyline which has given fans the opportunity to look at the events from the Templars perspective for the first time.
